Senior Mechanical Engineer
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Botrista Robotics, you will work on our next generation robotic system and accessory product. You'll be a member of the in-house hardware engineering team that will work with our industrial design, software engineering, business operations and manufacturing teams.
This position is the Mechanical resource for the Unit and exists to provide direction to project, process and maintenance operations of production equipment. This is an intellectually complex and operationally challenging role that will afford the opportunity to lead the way the technology industry deploys hardware infrastructure at scale! Right now we're building couple things:
Robot Barista Service.
Automatic Countertop Machines.
Shop management AI Autopilot Mode.
New Retail Model and Fresh Supply Logistic.
Working with internal engineering team to executive product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing.
Work independently or within cross functional development teams to fully define user needs and product specifications. Design, develop, and test prototypes and V&V units that meet these specifications.
Validate product performance against requirements from many internal customers using design and simulation tools.
Perform part and assembly level tolerance analysis, motion and performance studies.
Quickly iterate through various design concepts, bringing them to life via fast prototypes that can be fabricated with assistance from our prototyping lab.
Create test plans, design test equipment and undertake testing procedures to verify design performance.
Create documentation and specifications suitable for prototyping, quoting and production. Work with contract manufacturing partners through the design-for-manufacturing process and engineering verification stages required to move the product from prototype to production.
Support our manufacturing partners by working on-site with their overseas design and manufacturing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering or equivalent industry experience.
3+ years experience designing and shipping commercial products.
Experience with production processes.
Experience with a solid-molding CAD software package such as SolidWorks.
Experience optimizing product designs using FEA and CFD for shock and vibe, thermal and certification performance.
Experienced with a variety of electronic interconnection types and their various performance pros and cons.
Excellent communication skills in Chinese, English.
Reliable and committed to getting the job done.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Master degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2+ years experience designing and shipping commercial products.
